About the role
Reporting to the Product & Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the further development and implementation of LineView’s real-time data systems and ultimately, helping Blue Chip manufacturers improve their productivity. The role of Installation/Commissioning Engineer involves:
- Installation and commissioning of our manufacturing data systems
- International travel to our customer sites for project implementation
- Be responsible for developing elements of the company growth strategy.
- Provide technical support
- Supporting our customers to improve productivity.

If you have experience in PLC programming, especially Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley, together with industrial networking and communications, and have taken on both new projects and existing projects where code interrogation and modification is essential, we can’t wait to hear from you!
Prerequisites:
- Proven Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming experience
- Open to international travel to customers sites
- An ‘anything goes’ character who has successfully designed and implemented PLC solutions.
- Outgoing and approachable.
- Happy to go the extra mile when the need arises
- Proactive self-starter.
- Keen team player.
- Open minded and innovative
- Keen to improve and develop your skills on an ongoing basis.
- Not afraid of change.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Ideally (but not essentially) you will be:
- Knowledgeable about industrial networking (OPC, Ethernet, Profibus, Modbus)
- Familiar with Microsoft Windows Server (Wonderware Historian, SQL server database/query)
- Experienced in Project Management
- Multilingual
- Centrally located in the Midlands area
- Familiar with the FMCG manufacturing sector.
